Excellent guessing, Riddlers! This week we'll be spending some time with a unique service dog. Lizzy's review is sure to be a treat. See you all around the book block. ; ) ~ F
Sent to help those in need, we're very smart, but we can't read. Guiding you on with noble paws, we help to balance natures laws. Joyous energy fills our parts, comforting hurt human hearts. We've loyal ways that keep you near, and trust is built from blocks of fear. We do our jobs instinctively well, as we're keen of eye and sense of smell. We've been your mate for thousands of years, by your side through love and tears. Equal in measure, the story's told. We're here for you, young or old.
What are we? Answer: Service Dogs :)

Margo's Musings: It's A Dinosaur Disaster!
Starting at a new school is always exciting, but following along with a group of monstrous students on their first day at The Mad Scientist Academy is sure to be an adventure! Dr. Cosmic has a fantastic exhibit on dinosaurs he can't wait to share with his new class, but there are a few bugs to work out first. When their holographic guide, Dr. Tibia, takes them on a tour back through time, the students get a first hand experience at what it was like sixty-five million years ago. It's awesome to see the events that shaped our world recreated, despite a few terrifying glitches. Dr. Cosmic has a puzzle for his students to solve, and he gives them each book that contains everything a scientist needs to reveal mysteries. The dinosaurs on exhibit are set to "safe" mode, so the students are able to observe them without danger and gather clues. When an accident causes the machines to switch the dinosaurs into "live" mode, they've got a disaster on their hands. Will the students be able to learn enough about the dinosaurs to save the exhibit? What will happen if they run into a T. rex? Can a smelly lunch save the day? Will they ever find the school pet, Oscar, who's a real live dinosaur? You'll have to read this prehistoric book to find out!
Mad Scientist Academy:The Dinosaur Disaster by Matthew McElligott was especially nice for me, because I love graphic novels, and the story is presented in that style. The illustrations are brilliant, and it was fun to learn more about dinosaurs. The facts are used as clues, and Margo and I had fun putting the pieces of the puzzle together. We enjoyed the humor, and Margo kept trying to guess what the contents of Wolfgang's smelly lunch bag could be. I recommend this book to young readers who like to learn facts and think visually. If you're a dinosaur fanatic, you'll love it! For those who want to introduce a younger friend or sibling to graphic novels, this is a good place to start.
Has anyone else read Mad Scientist Academy? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
Happy reading ;)

Answer to Monday's Riddle: No Bones About It!
Excellent guessing, Riddlers! This week we're going prehistoric with the dinosaurs. Margo has a book she can't wait to share with you, and Friday we'll be asking questions, so be sure to check back! See you all around the book block. ; ) ~ F
Long gone, now bones in rocks. Terrestrial beings with scaly hocks. We ruled this land, then up and went; our lives cut short by what was sent. Showing in size, scale, and strength, with teeth and points, claws and length. We managed okay for millions of years; thoughts expanded, replacing fears. The mind's evolved and laid us to rest, but there was a time when we were the best.
What are we? Answer: Dinosaurs!
