Guess or not who I may be. It doesn't matter much to me. To sort it out, here's a clue— if that's what you want to do. Mystery was in my blood. Dracula was not a dud. You'll find a graveyard at my house, and plenty cats to chase a mouse. When Balanchine's dancers leapt, New York City's where I slept. In Cape Cod, at an old Captain's pad, there's more suspense to be had.
Who am I? Stop by Wednesday for the answer.
I gave you three clues!
A villain?
ReplyDeleteHmm this is a tough one, I'm going to guess a sleuth of some kind? Happy Monday, have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteA witch?
ReplyDeleteOnce again I have no idea. I can just say it's not me! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Bram Stoker. But you've thrown me with the Balanchine's dancers. You are getting just a little too cagey these days!
ReplyDeleteI'm clueless on this one.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Edward Gorey?
ReplyDeleteHi DMS - no idea ... but as Kate mentioned above and I checked Edward out ... that's who is could be ... and with the reference to Inspector Lynley ... I was lost and defeated this English brain! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI fail.
ReplyDeleteThe bad guy ever so spry?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, but I'm looking forward to the answer!
ReplyDeleteI have no answer. My brain is blank. :)
ReplyDeleteWill come back on Wednesday for the answer! As I'm stumped!
ReplyDeleteThe killer?
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Edward Gorey, Balanchine's BFF.
ReplyDeleteNo clue. I saw Dracula and instantly thought Bram Stoker. lol
ReplyDeleteA witch but Russian Ballet dancers are throwing me off and living in NYC as well. I also am thinking of the widow’s perch on top waiting for the sailer husband’s to come home. I will have to wait and see
ReplyDeleteI'm going for Poe or Gorey.
ReplyDeleteOops. Forgot about the ballet dancers. Drop Poe. I'm going for Gorey.
ReplyDeleteI love the riddle but I'm clueless on this one.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I have no idea at all, haha :) But the riddle is awesome. <3
ReplyDeleteExcellent guessing, Riddlers! The answer has been revealed. ;) ~ F
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing those opening "Mystery" credits when I was a kid, but never connected it with the artist because I didn't know about the artist until much later and didn't relate back to it.
ReplyDelete(That sentence is awkward because I'm trying not to say the person's name in case someone is reading these posts in chronological order.)
I have a book of interviews the artist fairly late in life did and it's amazing.
You're having some tricky ones! I haven't got a clue! LOL!
