I'm also going with Minnesota after, would you believe it, in a recent quiz in a round on America we were asked which was the 32nd state. A multiple answer round, we did get it wrong but at least now I know and was able to answer correctly here.

ReplyDeleteI had no idea but according to Wikipedia L'Étoile du Nord is a French phrase meaning "The Star of the North". It is the motto of the U.S. state of Minnesota. I see most of the comments confirm the same thing, so I guess it must be Minnesota.
