Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin
A shout out to another great dragon!
Some may be scared, but some are curious. Ancient lore portrays us as fiery and furious. We're found around castles or deep in a cave, our kind, though fierce, are clever and brave. Great Smaug wraps around the hint of a treasure, though meeting face to face is rarely a pleasure. Serendipity's sweet if you know who you are, and lucky Falkor's a blast if you're near the right star. Toothless may smile if you have the right dish, but his favorite food is a bucket of fish. And if you're at Gringotts, and your fingers feel sticky, we're down in the depths, so don't try to be tricky. They say we're a myth, and not really here. But look a little closer, and it's sure to be clear. We're the guardians of secrets found in the mind, the places inside that are hard to find. Our thoughts on man are mixed here and there, as like everything, it comes down to one's care.

What are we? Answer: Dragons!

  2. Oh! I'm sure I would have gotten this especially with the Gringott's reference. I've been actually thinking about dragons lately. I recently watched Eragon and have the book checked out. I see you've been reading minds lately, ladies.
