Eric, Stig, Kate, and Hallo are on another adventure to save a world
under distress. The black mist from Eric’s recent nightmares seems to be
connected to this new world, the Dragon Islands. Unfortunately, Eric isn’t sure
what the mist is all about. Here the people rely on the Voice of the Dragon, a
speaker who relays wisdom from Golden Dragon of Ang. Whenever a speaker dies,
the next one is already announced and it must be a child between the ages of 12
and 15. But, not this time! The Voice is gone and no one is in line to take
over. The governors from each of the five Dragon Islands are trying to figure
out where the next Voice of the Dragon will be from, and they all want it to be
the island they rule. With this unrest comes conniving and scheming in order to
benefit different islands and bring them power. When Kate and Eric show up unexpectedly
during a council meeting, the governors believe one of them could possibly
be the next Voice of the Dragon. After Kate and Eric get kidnapped things
become very dangerous! Will Kate and Eric be rescued? Will they ever see Stig
and Hallo again? Will the real Voice of the Dragon be found? What can the black
mist do, and is it safe? You have to read this page turner to find out!
After reading and
enjoying the first two books in the Deliverers series, I was thrilled to pick
up the third book. The Golden Dragon of
Ang was my favorite so far! Each book in the series keeps getting better
and better, with more action and excitement. There is definitely a lot of
suspense and I feel as if I know the characters. I like seeing the way Eric and
the other characters are growing as each book progresses. I recommend this book
to kids in grades four and up who like fantasy and adventure. For those of you
who haven’t started this fantastic series, I think the books can be read out of
order (still, I always like to read the books in a series in order). I look
forward to reading the fourth Deliverers book as soon as it comes out. I can't imagine where Eric and friends will journey next! Anyone who loves stories like the Lord of the
Rings will find this series is right up their alley.
Has anyone else read The Deliverers 3: The Golden Dragon of Ang?
Or have you read another book by Gregory Slomba? We would love to hear your
thoughts!
Happy Reading!

DeleteI kind of want to know who ended up being the Voice of the Dragon now. It sounds like Eric, Stig, Kate, and Hallo go on a new adventure each book so I doubt it's any of them. I'm glad you were able to enjoy this one so much and that it was your favorite out of the whole series. I've never heard of this series but I'll definitely check it out now. Thanks for sharing (:
