Through the eyes of imagination you will believe, though I may be somewhat strange to perceive. Whether it's fire I bring or a promise of youth. See me once, and you'll know the truth. Sometimes I speak, but sometimes not. Sometimes I walk or sometimes trot. Possibly I fly or howl at the moon. Close your eyes, and I'll be there soon. There are ways to find me written in lore-things that will bring me right to your door. But, I can't be seen, and I must stay hidden. For, I am something of a dream; long lost and forbidden. Those that are clever and take time to look will find me lurking in the pages of a book.
What am I?
I gave you a clue!

OMG...I have no idea...ok...after thinking long and hard...it's either a unicorn or a werewolf!
ReplyDeleteA fairytale?? Am I right? Am I?? :D Happy Monday!!
ReplyDeleteI'll just say fairies. But we all know how good I am at this, so nobody should copy my answer.

ReplyDeleteI think it's a legend! =)
Any of the above answers as I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteA wish or a secret?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking a dream, but I really don't know. :)
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that came to mind was werewolf so I'll go with that, they are popular in lore and at the movies.
ReplyDeleteBut, I can't be seen, and I must stay hidden? - I really have no idea on this one. 'A promise of youth, possibly I fly, something of a dream, can't be seen' make me think of a vampire that of course has no reflection when looked at in a mirror but then vampires don't howl at the moon. Hmm, perhaps you are talking about folklore characters in general as opposed to any one legend.
ReplyDeleteGreat guessing Riddlers! The answer has been posted ; ) ~ F
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm stumped.
