Answer to Monday's Riddle! Is it a Ghost?


Great guessing everyone! This week we will be talking about those ever elusive entities we call ghosts. Lizzy's review is sure to set us up for a good scare. And, we are looking forward to telling you about a couple of spooky encounters of our own on Top of the Heap. The Spooktacular Book Hop will be running until Halloween night, October 31st, and you can still enter to win a copy of The Magic Warble by Victoria Simcox- this book giveaway will run until Sunday, November 4th. I took this picture at Fairfield Hills Hospital, which is an old, abandoned mental institution in Newtown, CT- and it's supposed to be extremely haunted!

A bump in the night shakes you awake. A creaking door opens, and your hands start to shake. But, nothing is there, nor under your bed. You think you're alone, except that voice in your head. Still, there's a charge that moves through the room; a chilly passing of wind or an eerie, green gloom. Who's to say what it is, in the dark of the night? If you're lucky, these spirits will stay out of sight. 

What am I referring to? Answer: Ghosts

    I think I missed Monday's riddle (dag nab it!)?
    But ghosts are good ... well .... maybe not at abandoned insane asylums or mental institutions *brrr*. (you couldn't PAY me enough to visit one)(actually you COULD but it would be a lot $ lol)

    I just didn't want my mind to go to ghosts, and now that picture is going to haunt my dreams! *shivers* I'll just keep telling myself it's only the wind ;)Great riddle and pics :D

      Hi Cheles Bells, It's one of the spookiest pics I have ever taken- I mean, what else can it be- it looks like a man with a sailors hat on or some kind of hat- wait until you see what's happening on Thursday : ) ~ F

    What a spooky looking place. It makes you wonder how anyone was expected to received effective treatment in a place with that sort of atmosphere!

    Freaky! I find places like that so fascinating. We have an abandonned mental institution in my city (Wellington, NZ) that's supposed to be haunted but you have to get permission with a very good reason to get in there. Sarah xo
