I LOVE this question! It's fun to think about, but hard to choose. ~ F
The DMS Wants to Know...
If you could live in any place that you've read about, where would it be?
Another topic Lizzy and I have chatted about a bunch of times, and we can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts. We'll tell you ours, if you tell us yours!
I would want to live in the Underland and fly around on a bat. Besides the huge rats and bugs- it would be really cool- I can't believe Gregor ever wanted to go home!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Oh, man . . . a ton of things jump to mind, but the first one (shockingly) was Redwall LOL! That would be so awesome to talk with furry little animals *giggling*
ReplyDeleteI want to live in Maine in a small town like Miss Rumphius...with the sea wind blowing my hair and my Kindle in hand!!!
ReplyDeleteP. S. Thank you for that sweet comment on my blog :0)
ReplyDeleteAfter living in places near my work for waaaay too long, I'm living exactly where I want to be...in a log cabin on 13 acres of wooded land, completely isolated and unseen for the majority of the year! It seems I'm on vacation each day...
ReplyDeleteI used to dream of traveling to Australia, China and India, and I've traveled to Canada, South America and on a number of cruises to the Islands and Mexico...but for ongoing living, I'm happy in the U.S.
My choice is a little weird- but ah well, here it is- I always liked the sound of Fiddler's Green. It's sort of interpreted differently in folk lore- sometimes regarding sailors, or a place or rest before the underworld- but I always think of it as a really peaceful, green place with magical creatures and lots of green plants and life everywhere- rivers and lakes flow through it, and dandy lion dander floats about in the air. It's really pretty and warm, and feels safe. I also always think it smells like lilacs and honeysuckle. That's where I would want to live...
ReplyDeleteIt would be cool to live in "How to Train Your Dragon." I think it would also be great to live in the world of Perception, AKA my own imagination. This was a tough question. Not even sure this is the right answer. And it will probably change by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading what everyone wrote.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many places inside of books that I would like to go. Right now I would most like to be inside The Polar Express. I think the muted colors and beautiful drawings are magical and I would be so thrilled to be on the train or in the North Pole. I think the author and illustrator create a warm , cozy, enchanted scene. I can feel the excitement and would love to hear the first bell of Christmas.
Ancient Greece, I love reading about mythology and all of the brilliant minds from Athens. Would love to walk around and just listen to them speak!
ReplyDeleteI loved everyone's thoughts on this! Heather- I totally forgot about How to Train Your Dragon! OMG- I would love to live there and have a Dragon for a pet- I would want the one that Astrid rides- or Toothless, of course : )
ReplyDeleteLizzy- you love the Polar Express! How cool would living at that North Pole be- with all the roller coasters-
Donna- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE mythology, and would be thrilled to live in Greece- but the Gods would have to be around, messing with all the people like they did- that's what makes all the stories so fun and amazing!
Thanks for sharing with us! This was a really fun question! ~ F
I have always wanted to enter the book Where the Wild Things are. I just think it would be cool for a day!
ReplyDeleteI would pick Hogwarts or Hogsmead. Both would be filled with magical creatures and I love the way I picture them both in my head. I would love to see the shops and also to go up in common rooms for each of the "houses".
