Monday's Riddle: Go With the Flow

Hello Riddlers! Here's the puzzle. Can you guess our theme this week. I feel a connection to this because I'm a pisces. ; ) ~ F

I'm the space you can see. In perpetual motion, I'm wild and free. I can be still, show like a mirror or fearsome and harsh, till' things become clearer. I run in cycles locked in motion, and I'm found in almost every potion. My feeling changes with the season, and my path winds on for no reason. I'm the key to what is known, for time can't lift me from my throne. I live in you while you're here, just one vibration can mold your tear. I'm an essential part of you, and I'll clean you up so you'll feel like new.

What am I?

I gave you a clue!

Books and Ruby Foo's

Rachael Dugas, Jessica Haight, Stephanie Robinson, Krista Vitola
Not only was the Book Expo an amazing event, but we were also thrilled to sit down with our lovely literary agent, Rachael Dugasand our brilliant editor, Krista Vitola, for an excellent lunch at Ruby Foo's. We dug into our thoughts about books, and got down to business. It was so much fun to talk about Fairday and her friends investigating the mystery of the Begonia House. There are still so many secrets to be revealed! The whole day was a whirlwind, inspiring the story lover in everyone. So, here's to books, may they always be at the ready. ;) ~ Jess & Stephanie

The Begonia House keeps its secrets. Everyone knows that. Everyone, that is, except for clever eleven-year-old Fairday Morrow, whose family has just moved in. Being the Senior Investigator in the Detective Mystery Squad, more commonly known as the DMS, she’s ready to uncover the mysteries hidden within the strange manor. As the investigation gears up and the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place, the DMS enters into a world where anything is possible, and the danger is most definitely real. Follow along with Fairday and her friends, as spooky meets lovely in this twisting tale of dark secrets and hidden pasts.

What Fairday's Blog is all about...

Fairday's Riddles are posted on Mondays- they can be written about anything and everything, all at the same time!

Lizzy's Book Reviews are posted on Wednesdays. Lizzy has read just about every middle grade novel out there, and she loves to share her thoughts and, of course, her opinions.

Author Interviews are posted on Fridays. The DMS seeks out the best middle grade authors today and brings them here to chat about their stories.

Margo's Musings Fridays are sometimes shared with Margo, Fairday's little sister. This post focuses on reviewing children's book authors, which we follow up with an Author Interview.

The DMS Wants to Know was a post we came up with because when we get together to hang out on the weekend, we always chat about different situations and ideas that are floating around in our brains and we like to listen to what other people think about them- some of the comments we've gotten have been absolutely fascinating!

*NEW! Character Book Club: Join us to listen to what your favorite characters have to say. Sign up for our monthly newsletter and find out when the next Character Book Club will be meeting!

The BEA Buzz!

Stephanie Robinson                                                                                Jessica Haight
The Book Expo America in NYC was quite an adventure! We were impressed with all the great titles popping up, and we can't wait to dive into into all the new stories. :) Here's a recap of our day, and a hint at some of the books we'll be featuring on Fairday's Blog. Happy reading! ~ Jess & Stephanie

On the 6AM train to NYC, a surly gentleman sitting in front of us commented to the lady next to him that the woman behind him hadn't stopped talking since he got on the train- referring to Stephanie. Every other seat was empty, but for a few. He sat right next to us. We both laughed and kept hoping that we 'd get the chance to wish him a nice day!

We were so excited to bump into our friend, Kelly Hashway. She's one of our featured authors, and it was fun to have the opportunity to meet her in person!
Here's a sneak peek at a few of the books we picked up. We can't wait to check them out. Our TBR lists just got bigger. Again. lol. :)

A great time was had by all, and we can't wait for this excellent event next year! Stop by on Friday to find out all about our fancy lunch with literary agent, Rachael Dugas and editor, Krista Vitola.
