The DMS Wants to Know!
Monday's Riddle was all about growing up, and Lizzy's review of Romeo Blue by Phoebe Stone took us on one young girl's journey into her life. Friday, Margo sprinkled in some nursery magic with The Velveteen Rabbit, and today, we want to hear from you!
The DMS wants to know: What is something that's had a profound impact on you growing up?

Ack, I've been totally MIA around here this week. I hate missing your riddles :) Growing up, books definitely had a profound impact on me. The Velveteen Rabbit was a favorite, but so many others, too!
ReplyDeleteMeradeth- We know how busy you have been with your release! Glad you were able to stop by today for a visit. :) There are so many fabulous books out there- and I agree that reading had a profound impact on me too. ~L
DeleteObviously books but apart from that ..... emm. My nana's button box. I used to spend hours as a girl playing with a box full of old buttons. They helped me to learn about colour and shape as well as to count. They were used to 'buy' things at our toy shop, were stuck to many a piece of paper to make works of art and put in an old washing up bottle made brilliant maracas.
ReplyDeleteTracy- How beautiful! My mom had a container of buttons when I was growing up and I loved looking at all the unique and interesting buttons. I don't think I ever made any crafts from them- but that sounds like a great idea. How wonderful that you learned so much from your nana's button box. :) ~Stephanie
DeleteExperiences... I know that sounds pretty vague or general but experiences at any age in my life whether it was last month or when I was twelve have really impacted me as a whole. Specifically relationships with my family, friends, and people I've met.
ReplyDeleteAdriana- Relationships and experiences definitely have a huge impact on our lives. Great answer! :) ~L
