The DMS Wants to Know!
Monday's Riddle was another brick in the wall, and Lizzy's review of The Great Wall of Lucy Wu by Wendy Wan-Long Shang told us about a young girl determined to put one up. Thursday on Top of the Heap, we brought up two famous walls in history, and Friday, we were excited to tell you about the enchanting book nook, Linda's Story Time. Today, we want to hear from you!
The DMS wants to know:
Have you ever put up a wall? If so, what was its purpose?
We told you ours. Now, let's hear yours!

I build self-protective emotional walls when I don't want to deal with difficult people.
ReplyDeleteHi Medeia, Sometimes difficult people can be very trying, but it's always better to just be yourself and hold onto the idea of patience and tolerance. : ) Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts with us! ~ F
DeleteHmm, not that I can remember :) Though our neighbors just had to, as they small pack of dogs wouldn't give us any peace...
ReplyDeleteHi Meradeth, Sounds like you definitely needed a wall! Thanks for stopping by. : ) ~ F
DeleteA bit like Medeia I also tend to build protective walls around myself.
ReplyDeleteOur neighbour is a rep for a well known DIY firm and as such has every power tool there is. Tending to start drilling at 9 on a Sunday evening we expect that one day our dividing wall will become so full of holes that our houses will become one.
Hmmmm...no walls here! I am an open book...I think!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I have. sometimes walls are easier to build than be exposed and trust who's on the other side
ReplyDeletethx for making me think!
I'm opposed to walls, yet hiking the one in China was a thrill. I guess the only walls I can confess to are walls against being hurt. Yet, that kind of wall isn't very effective and it might prevent learning, so I guess I should stop building those, right?
ReplyDeleteI did have to make a wall to keep out the dog from my vege garden!
ReplyDeleteI have not. But I want to build a wall to keep kitten from ruining my things, lol (A)
ReplyDeleteWell, I've certainly built a few walls around my heart to keep it safe over the years, but our most recent wall-building would have to be the ones that keep our three pugs and our no-good-very-bad Chihuahua out of certain rooms... and out of trouble. Great post! I love the pictures ;)
