We always like to turn the lens on all of you so we can see your perspective. Lizzy and I shared two songs that we each felt were amazing; the kind of music that raises the hairs on the back of your neck. Reading what Samantha Hale had to say about her connection with music and how it inspired her to write the children's book Sparkle's Song was really interesting. I truly believe that my love for music is an amazing gift that was given to me, and this week was really fun for us to put together. I love thinking about the music I listen to, and I love listening to the music I think about : ) Today, we want to hear from you guys...
The DMS wants to know: What song or musical piece do you feel a strong connection to? Why do you think it makes you feel that way?
We sort of already told you ours, but trust me, Lizzy and I can come up with them all day!
The musical score from The Phantom of the Opera always stirs me up : )
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine, I saw The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in NY. It was absolutely amazing! Thanks for stopping by : ) ~ F
DeleteOoh, Elaine has a good one! Love Phantom! Such great music. I have the sheet music for the piano, and I even have a Phantom of the Opera musical ornament on my Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteKelly- The ornament sounds so cool! I wish I knew how to play the piano. :)
DeleteLately I have been obsessing over anything that Billy Idol sings...
ReplyDeletePatty- He has a lot of great songs!
DeleteKiki Dee's - Loving and Free. Effects me in ways that I can't put into words. For me, that makes it very special.
ReplyDeleteAccidentalwriter- I agree! When music moves me it beomes a part of me. I usually have a hard time explaining how it moved me, but it just did. :)
DeleteThere are just so many songs that move me, but if asked my absolute favorite it would be 'La Vie en Rose' and I have no idea why.
ReplyDeleteI really like heavy metal. It helps me to get out any negative feelings. So- Metallica is my number one mood pick me up.
