Monday's Riddle (A Little Late)

Wow! This October snowfall really changed things up! I was at Fairday's for a Halloween party and then we lost power! Scary- but festive, too. I am home and finally have Internet access- but Fairday is still in the dark. I will post a riddle- sorry it is a day late, but without an Internet connection there was nothing we could do. Hope you are all safe and warm!

Riddle:
A detective was walking to the scene of the crime, when he came upon a fork in the road. One man stood at the entry to each road. One man only told lies, and the other man only told the truth. The road that would lead the detective to the crime had the man who only told lies on it. The detective needed to find out which man only told lies, and which man only told the truth, with only one question. What was the question the detective asked?

Check back later if you need to get a clue...

  2. We just got power back. SOOOO nice!

Does he ask, "Has a crime been committed on this street?" Hmmm... this is tricky.

  3. This is great! Maybe he asks them something obvious like- Is it raining out? Then he can see who the liar is.
