The DMS Wants to Know!

Here's a great question that I could think about for hours. Lizzy and I have chatted endlessly about who we would want to be. ~ F

If you could be any character from a book, who would you be? And, why?

Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts on this one! We'll tell you ours, if you tell us yours : )

  1. If I could be any character from a book I would have a hard time picking. So many cool characters to be. I am a big fan of Percy Jackson series- so I think I would pick Percy. He gets to go on a cool quest and meets amazing friends. I would love to find out I was a demi-god. Well, maybe it would be scary, but cool

  2. I think if i chose a character from percy jackson it would definitley be either Thalia Grace because she's cool and, a daughter of zeus. Or, i'd be Annabeth because she's a daughter of the goddess of wisdom, and get's to go on a lot of quests. If it was frm Harry potter it would be Luna Lovegood or Sirius Balck. Luna because she's in Ravenclaw and is probably the wisest out of them and is the only one when you think about it who was never afraid of death. Sirius because a.-He's my favorite character other than harry, ron, hermione, and luna. b- he's an animagus, and c.- He's one of the few pure-bloods who isn't concieted or a death eater. well that's my LONG explanation... it was a hard choice though Trey.

I agree w/ trey though, it was a hard choice!

  4. I totally forgot about The Lightening Thief- I was thinking about how cool it would be to be Ron and live in The Burrow- BUT- it would be great to be a demi-god- I would want to be the son of Neptune, like Percy- it would be so cool to control water and be able to heal yourself just by touching it. I would be an awesome surfer- lol-

  6. My favorite character (I"m showing my age here) has always been Elinor Dashwood, from Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. She is a strong, cautious young woman. I have always admired her and her character. I would have loved to live during Victorian times so I'd have to pick her as my choice. Yes kids, you will probably have to read this book (or another Jane Austen book) sometime during high school, you'll groan and roll your eyes and think it boring. Read it again later in life and you'll hopefully understand and appreciate Ms. Austen's style, dry wit and biting social commentary about Victorian lifestyles.

  7. There are so many characters that I would want to be...hmmm...
I think I would have to go with Yvaine. Yvaine is a fallen star that Tristran Thorn seeks in the Kingdom of Faerie, which lies beyond the village of Wall. He seeks the fallen star to present to the girl he loves back in the village-but instead, he finds himself in a world of magic and adventure. Stardust is one of my absolute favorite books and I have a really rare copy that's hard to find. It's written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Charles Vess, whose pictures are amazing! It's a magical tale that wraps around you like a blanket. I felt like I was in Faerie, traveling right along with Tristran and Yvaine. I love Yvaine because she's the daughter of the moon, and sister to the stars. She's kind of quirky, but really beautiful and also fun to be with when she lightens up ~ F

  8. Such great answers! I would say that from Harry Potter I would love to be Hermione- because she is really clever and knows so many spells. I would love to be able to cast spells like she does- and she is a very loyal and brave friend. I agree with SE- from the Lightning Thief I would be Annabelle because she is so good at solving puzzles and I think she has a lot of spunk. Some days- my answer might change- but today these are my top picks!
