Spring was wet here in New England- but there was lots of beauty to enjoy. Loved seeing a little more daylight every day and the temperatures losing their chill was a delight. We had so much rain that we actually got rain in our basement. Our sump pump broke because it rained so much in such a short time and it got clogged. Luckily, we had another one we were able to install. We were thankful we don't have a lot of boxes in our basement!
Thanks for stopping by and sitting with me for a while! Enjoy!

Ducks in a tree!
What a blue!
Lord and Lady Quackerly in the rain.
The snow wasn't done yet!
But it melted quickly.
Our Red-Tailed Hawk searching...
Magnolias starting to bloom.
Love when Lord and Lady visit before school.
A rainbow around the moon!
A fox running near the edge of the backyard.
Can you find Lord and Lady?
The soothing sound of the brook.
Before work!
Can you see Lord and Lady?
Lord and Lady swimming about the pond.
May 2025
The pond is full thanks to all the rain!
Looks like a secret entrance!
We had dandelions galore! The bees were happy!
The yellow lilies were glorious!
The light looks so different in the morning.
Spring was so pretty- and I tried to soak up the colors before the rain washed away the petals. Can't wait to enjoy more coffee by the pond now that school is out and I don't have to hurry to work each morning. I will share June and July photos before the end of summer!
Thanks for stopping by!
Got very green. Do you see foxes often?
ReplyDeleteAlex- I have been seeing a lot of foxes lately (one or two a week). :)
DeleteSuch a lovely collection of photographs.
ReplyDeleteI do like those Magnolias :)
All the best Jan
Jan- The Magnolias are blooming again right now! :)
DeleteThat secret door look...maybe a portal to another world?! So beautiful. All the photos and your view is stunning.
ReplyDeleteKelly- I think it may be a portal to another world! Thanks for stopping by. :)
DeleteLoving pond. It is fun to watch the seasons change.
ReplyDeleteJeff- Thanks! It really is a ton of fun! :)
DeleteI always love seeing your pictures. They are so pretty
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary! :)
DeleteMaybe I'll just keep going back to this post because these are all sooo relaxing to look at.
ReplyDeleteLux- So glad you found the pictures relaxing. :)
DeleteBeautiful and serene. Warm greetings from Montreal ❤️ 😊 Canada 🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Linda! :)
DeleteBeautiful pictures! We've had heavy rains between dry spells, along with a lot of heat. One year we had a pair of ducks come up our front walkway to the door, but never have I seen ducks in a tree! 😂
ReplyDeleteMarcia- I had never seen ducks in a tree before either. It was surprising! :)
DeleteEs un lindo lugar. te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteJP- Gracias! :)
DeleteWhat a lovely way to start your day! I do hope you plan to do a story about Lord and Lady someday. 😊
ReplyDeleteJenni- I agree- they need to be in a book! :)
DeleteHi Jess - it looks wonderful - such a lovely place to live. So glad the sump pump worked out - good to have a second one in store as such, also no packing cases in the basement - wise decision.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you used the word 'brook' - ten years ago (I wrote about it!) the Oxford University Press Junior Dictionary removed that word!! Though we still have Tennyson's poem 'The Brook' - cheers for now - Hilary
Hilary- The back up pump is definitely important!
DeleteI don't know if I realized that about the word brook. Seems strange to remove it! Thanks for sharing! :)
This looks wonderful and relaxing! This post couldn’t have come at a better time, as I just finished taking a walk outside with my fiancé.
