September and October were simply stunning here. We left the bad flooding from August behind and entered a drought phase- where it barely rained for two months. While the rain would have been welcome, the views were out of this world and I noticed the leaves stayed on the trees a little longer than usual.
Lots of green in September, but the leaves were beginning their transformation. Sit back and enjoy watching fall unfold!
September 2024
Trees were starting to change!
Little roses!
The visiting deer with their fall coats- they
definitely blend in much more!
No water in the book, but the woods are changing for sure!
October 2024
The heron visited almost daily in September and October.
One day I hope to get take off or landing!
Lots of pine needles- I wish I was able to have smell-o-vision.
Love seeing all the colors reflected in the pond!
So many golden hues!
Love the pop of red!
Not a drop in the brook!
Ended October with so many beautiful shades of fall!
Fall came and brought me so much joy. Some slightly cooler nights, but we were lucky to have mostly comfortable temperatures! Looking back it's nice to see the pond was still pretty full- though the edges showed we were in a drought. As November came, the drought got worse, before it started to improve. Fall is settling in more and more, and the cooler weather is here. Still enjoy sitting on my porch and soaking in the views- I just bundle a bit more now.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting!
