Monday's Riddle: Metropolis Rising...

Hello, Riddlers! Can you guess our theme this week? This place is full of surprises! ; ) ~ F

Capitol of the Constitution State, sprinkle nutmeg on your plate. A charter hidden in white oak, kept secret from a bloke. History stamps its free mark, take a stroll through Bushnell Park. A city rises, topped in gold; here safety nets are sold. 

 Where am I referring to? Stop by Wednesday for the answer.

    Am I dreaming or is there something called the Charter Oak in Connecticut? I’m dredging this up from goodness knows where and have no idea what it even means so I will look forward to hearing more.

    I think I read somewhere that Connecticut was nicknamed the Constitution State because the founding fathers used that state's constitution as a template. Not sure about where Bushnell Park is, but guess I could Google it and expand my geography knowledge. :-)

    The first thing I started thinking, which I know is completely wrong, was the Declaration of Independence. Just the paper from trees thing. Honestly, I don't have a clue, but I loved the complexity of the riddle.
