Monday's Riddle: What Does the Scene Tell?

Hello, Riddlers! Can you guess our theme this week? This pastime is one of my favorite things to do- right up there with writing riddles (fun to write one about this topic ; ). ~ F

Blank page is set, and you open the door. The scene is new, you're ready to soar. Once it's decided where you'll be going, there's no way to tell what will be showing. Scribble and think, color and texture- no need to listen to anyones lecture. More of a skill taught by the self, an escape that takes you off of the shelf. What to see? What to know? There are so many places in the mind to go. Wish for a sight? See it appear. What you're doing is the answer I'll cheer. 

What am I referring to? Stop by Wednesday for the answer.

    I'm so horrible at these. Everyone is saying "drawing" and I thought it had to do with settings for writing...blank page, scribble, places to go. *sigh*

    I'm the worst with riddles. I have no idea (maybe a small one), but I cheated and looked at the other people's answers and I'm going to go with what they said: drawing.

    Like Chrys above I was thinking of something other than drawing. I was thinking 'imagination' because of the 'there are so many places in the mind to go.

    Chrys, I thought that too. I'm such a slacker at getting riddles. Maybe the reason I see it like that is because I'm a writer and not an illustrator? Although, I like Dezmond's answer. :-)

    Drawing was the first thing that came to mind. Although doodling could work too.

    I always doodled during lectures, so I'll say doodles or doodling.

    I am leaning towards doodling, drawing too.
    Though your doodled clue made me think of crochet. Which didn't fit. At all.
