Delete*sigh* I wish I had an indie on Long Island. The only one here only does celeb signings. I miss my old indie from when I was a kid. they closed down when I Was about 10 or so and it broke my heart!

DeleteWhat great pictures! The only bookstore I have by me is BAM. The staff is amazing there. I love them. I wish we had more locally owned bookstores, though.

DeleteSo glad you're supporting the indies. At my recent SCBWI conference, I volunteered to help set up the bookstore and got to work alongside those magnificent women. They are SO much fun...and they love books! You don't really see that enthusiasm from chain bookstore workers.

DeleteThose are such quaint looking book stores! Unfortunately, there aren't many like them left. The big stores like Barnes and Noble have put them out of business.
