The DMS Wants to Know!
Monday's Riddle captured the spirit with a rhyme, and Lizzy's review of Island of The Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell took us on a quest for survival. Thursday on Top of the Heap, we told you about two fictional characters that we feel have amazing spirit, and Friday, we were excited for the chance to chat with Anne Ursu, and learn a little more about the story behind her heart-warming story Breadcrumbs. Stop by the post, and enter for your chance to win a copy of this new middle grade book, plus a signed bookplate- giveaway runs until Sunday, March 3rd. Today, we want to hear from you!
The DMS wants to know: Out of all of the characters that you know (fictional or real), whose spirit do you admire most? What are the qualities they possess that make you feel this way?
We told you ours. Now, let's hear yours!

Oh, that's a tough one! Anne Shirley might be my choice - she's the first to come to mind. Maybe Frodo too. Or Aragorn. So many great choices!
ReplyDeleteHi Jemi, Anne Shirley is a great choice! Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts with us : ) ~ F
DeleteWow, that's so tough to answer. Hmm... I think I have to go with Percy Jackson. He has so much working against him but he always puts his life on the line for others. I really admire that.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, Percy Jackson has an amazing spirit in the face of some pretty incredible challenges. Thanks so much for popping over to visit us. It's great to hear from you : ) ~ F
DeleteHmmm...I read so much I can't remember anyone!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty- LOL! Thanks for popping by : ) ~ F
DeleteI have to go with both Frodo and Harry Potter - both realizing there's an excellent chance that the ending may be the death of them and at the same time realizing the burdens that they must carry.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, Frodo and Harry are great choices- there are so many! Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts with us : ) ~ F
DeleteI'm giving a shout out to Samwise Gamgee in Lord of the Rings. "Frodo wouldn't have gotten far without Sam."
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie, Excellent choice! I love Sam- I agree : ) ~ F
DeleteUm I have so many characters in my mind but the first character that popped up in my mind is Yelena from Study series by Maria V. Snyder. After enduring so much pain and suffering, she didn't lose hope and kept on fighting.
ReplyDeleteHi Ifrah, Wonderful choices! Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts with us : ) ~ F
