The DMS Wants to Know!

Monday's Riddle was enveloped in mystery, and Lizzy's review of Regarding the Fountain by Kate Klise was a case wrapped up in letters. Thursday on Top of the Heap, we enjoyed telling you about our ideal post, and Friday, it was great to learn a little more about Elisa Carbone, author of the historical middle grade adventure Blood on the River: James Town 1607. Today, we want to hear from you!

The DMS wants to know: If you could write a letter to any fictional character and have them respond, who would you choose? Why?

We'll tell you ours, if you tell us yours!

  1. Hmm... there are a lot of characters I love and relate to so this is a hard one. Maybe Percy Jackson. I would love to write to him about what's going on in the demigod world and if he'll invite me on an adventure sometime (;

  2. Guess I would ask the old lady in Titanic why she threw that ignominious "priceless" gem in the hallowed ocean grave of her beloved lover...I was thinking that huge jewel could have choked a whale.

  6. Great question--there are so many. I suppose I'd have to stick to my favorite book and go with Gandalf. I'd try to pry loose some of his secrets, although I doubt he'd spill the beans!

  8. What a great question! I would write a letter to Jason Bourne. I would want to know if he ever found peace. The Bourne Identity is one of my all-time favorite books and I love Jason Bourne. So much suspense, mystery, subterfuge, I want to know! Thanks for another great post.

  11. Such a hard question! My first thoughts were Anne of GG and Aragorn, but I think I'd write to one of the dragon riders of McCaffrey's PERN - Lessa or Jaxom :)

  12. Recently, as part of the Feature & Follow Friday hop, we had to write a letter to our most favourite book character and I wrote to Severus Snape form JK Rowling's Harry Potter series. In the letter, I just wanted to let him know how much I admire and respect him. But writing to a character and having them respond? Wow. I would then choose Professor Dumbledore form Harry Potter. He left so many questions unanswered and I'd really like him to tell me exactly where my Hogwarts acceptance letter is! ;)

  13. Ooh, this is a toss up for me. Patch from the Hush, Hush series is a fallen angel and probably has so much to say. But I love Percy Jackson and he's been to Mount Olympus and the underworld, so I'd want to talk to him, too.
