I couldn't help myself- yet another Christmas passed, and there wasn't one in my backyard with a big bow on it! I could add in about a millions pictures, but I'll contain myself...LOL ~ F
Alongside man, I have grown.
I've moved the land when their seeds were sewn.
I've carried their weight on my back.
I've ran their race around a track.
An open plain is where I'd be, running wild and always free...
What am I? Answer: A Horse
Lovely pictures! When I was a little girl I always wished for a horse tied with a bow to appear in my yard on Christmas morning too. It never did, but I worked at the local riding school in the summer holidays and saved up for my first horse, a bay mare like the one in the top picture. Her name was Flikka and she died a few years ago, with her head in my arms aged 35.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and for your kind comment.
Thanks! I've wanted a horse for forever- I have volunteered at some barns, and have taken a few lessons in the past- I just love just hanging around with them! Great story! What an amazing friendship you must have had with Flikka!
