Monday's
Riddle brought the theme for the week
down to Earth, and Lizzy's
review of The Fellowship for
Alien Detection by Kevin Emerson
took us out of this world. Thursday on Top of the Heap, we told you about two characters from
outer space who captured our hearts, and Friday, we were excited for the chance
to chat with Kevin
Emerson, and learn a little more about the story behind his new book, The Fellowship for Alien Detection. Stop

Giveaway Hope runs until March 22nd.
Today, we want to hear from you!
The DMS wants to know: If
you could travel to an alien civilization, where would you like to go? Or do
you have a favorite alien that you would like to travel with into unknown
worlds?
If I could travel to alien worlds there is clearly only one person to take as a companion. Someone strong, exceptionally bright, and always guaranteed to get you home. Mr spock of course. I'd have to do something about the humour, though. Bit of a misery puss.
ReplyDeleteRoger- Mr. Spock sounds like a great choice. I had to laugh out loud about the humor! :) ~L
DeleteIf I could travel with an alien, I'd choose ET. He was just so adorable!
ReplyDeleteShirley- ET is an excellent choice. What a cutie! :) ~L
DeleteHmm, this is a tough one. I'm really not sure. Oh wait! The Transformers are aliens. I'd choose them. I love Bumblebee. :)
ReplyDeleteKelly- The Transformers are a fabulous choice! :) ~L
DeleteI think I would have to go with Arthur Dent from Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - or as Roger Lawrence above suggests Mr. Spock.
ReplyDeleteAlex- Awesome choices! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. :) ~L
DeleteE.T. was so adorable, it would be fun to visit his world with him. Or Mork from Ork - though that would be a bit of a manic trip! :)
ReplyDeleteCate- ET would be fun and Mork would be hilarious. Manic is an excellent word to describe it! :) ~L
DeleteYeah! Nanu, nanu - I also loved Mork. Or more recently the film Signs. How I laughed at the scene were they were sitting with tin foil hats on their heads.
ReplyDeletePetty- Mork is funny! The tin foil hats were too funny in Signs. :) ~l
DeleteI'd love to travel with the Doctor (Doctor Who)--always an adventure, lots of awesome places to visit (the library planet!) and all kinds of fun!
ReplyDeleteMeradeth- I haven't seen Dr. Who- but I have heard he is great. Sounds like a fun person to travel with. I would love to go to library planet. :) ~L
DeleteOk...this is one of my fears...I really don't like anything alien...you can all go...I will stay here!
ReplyDeletePatty- I can understand your fear and loved your answer. :) ~L
DeleteIt would have to be the doctor (as played by David Tennant!) I don't mind where we go as I would just be gazing at the gorgeous Dr. and wouldn't notice the surroundings! :)
ReplyDeleteBarbara- Too funny! It sounds like the doctor would be an excellent travel companion for you. :) ~L
DeleteAbsolutly! :)
DeleteHuh. Maybe Dr. Who or (I know he's not alien) Captain Kirk played by Chris Pine. It has to be Chris Pine or no deal! There's also Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy... In reality if there ever was an alien race that looked like us and didn't want to kill us I would love to see their planet.
ReplyDeleteAdriana- Look at all the great characters you came up with for this question! Awesome job! It would be interesting to see an alien planet- as long as they are friendly. :) ~L
