Deep and Dark and Dangerous: A Ghost Story by Mary Downing Hahn is a spooky mystery that will give you goose bumps. I think anyone in 4th grade and up that likes scary stories will enjoy this book. If you don’t like books that give you a fright then stay away from this book because it may give you nightmares. I liked the main character because she was brave and kind. I could tell that Ali really cares about her family. I think the cover is awesome and it drew me in and made me want to read the book.
