Hello, Riddlers! Can you guess our theme this week? This place is full of surprises! ; ) ~ F
Capitol of the Constitution State, sprinkle nutmeg on your plate. A charter hidden in white oak, kept secret from a bloke. History stamps its free mark, take a stroll through Bushnell Park. A city rises, topped in gold; here safety nets are sold.
Where am I referring to? Stop by Wednesday for the answer.
I gave you a clue!
Somewhere in Connecticut?
ReplyDeleteAm I dreaming or is there something called the Charter Oak in Connecticut? I’m dredging this up from goodness knows where and have no idea what it even means so I will look forward to hearing more.
ReplyDeleteThe park is in Connecticut, so that must be the answer.
ReplyDeleteI'm stumped. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteHartford!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the US nearly enough to figure this out, haha :) But lovely riddle, as always. <3
ReplyDeleteOnce again I have to confess my ignorance! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteDrawing a blank myself.
ReplyDeletebetty
I have no clue and am watching the moths fly out of my ears
ReplyDeleteI am largely ignorant of your history. Looking forward to the reveal. And intrigued by the nutmeg reference.
ReplyDeleteHartford, Connecticut? And, yes, I cheated with Google's help. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I read somewhere that Connecticut was nicknamed the Constitution State because the founding fathers used that state's constitution as a template. Not sure about where Bushnell Park is, but guess I could Google it and expand my geography knowledge. :-)
ReplyDeleteIm not sure ;(
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. My knowledge of the states is bad.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the US well enough either. But I'll come back and learn the answer.
ReplyDeleteHi DMS - I'd guess Hartford ... but I'll be interested to know where the nutmeg comes in ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteSomeplace in New England?
ReplyDeleteI got...nothing. lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know. But what a fun riddle. ~Aleen
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I started thinking, which I know is completely wrong, was the Declaration of Independence. Just the paper from trees thing. Honestly, I don't have a clue, but I loved the complexity of the riddle.
ReplyDeleteNot very good at riddles, I'm afraid! What's the answer?
ReplyDeleteExcellent guessing, Riddlers! The answer has been revealed. ;) ~ F
ReplyDeleteI could have questioned all day and never got it right.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't know!
