Monday's Riddle: Shifting Space...

Hello Riddlers! It's good to be back. We hope everyone had a lovely break and a hopping good holiday! For those who know my story, moving into the Begonia House was quite a change compared to this lifestyle. ; ) ~ F

I'm a house that you don't own- sometimes I've less, but I'm still a home. They're other places, as you'll see. Though, they're pretty much all like me. I've characters living behind each door, some have less and some have more. It all depends upon my size- perhaps a studio or high-rise. People drift through like the tide, always changing my colors inside.

What am I?

I gave you a clue!
