Margo's Musings: A New World in My Room

Margo is very excited about the new children's picture book A New World in My Room by Dee Dee Colabella. This charming story presents a creative way to transition children from a crib to a "big kid" bed. Margo loved Tia's fancy pink style, and she seemed to relate to Tommy's desire for the safety of his blanket. Growing up can be scary, and this book brings a fun way to help kids expand their horizons in their own special space. The idea of sleep has taken on a whole new meaning for Margo, and my parents couldn't be happier!

I enjoyed this book! It was fun to read with Margo, and we both had a blast thinking up different ways to decorate our rooms. My little sister's plans included a few more unicorns than mine- but, not that many more. ; )

Happy reading! ~ F

A New World in My Room brings the family of young children into a world created during the transition from cribs to "big kid" beds. Tia and Tommy are introduced to their transformed room for the first time and create a wonderful world of imagination and adventures.

*Dee Dee Colabella will be stopping by on Friday to tell us about her story. We'll be hosting a giveaway for a signed hardcover edition of this new children's book, so be sure to check back!

  6. This is the kind of story I wish I could read to my own grandkids. If I had them. Sigh. I'm lucky I visit relatives to read to their children on occasion.
