Monday's Riddle: Sign Posted!

Hello Riddlers! Here's the puzzle. Can you guess our theme this week? Most are meant to be broken. ; ) ~ F

You so want to to do it, but I say no; feel like going fast, but I say slow. Posted for all to see, I'm a proclamation made to be. Cast by those who strive for order and hope to keep a strict, known border. Some are useful and tell of danger, some are silly, and some get stranger. Either way, who abides? Who's the one that decides? Can someone else choose your way? Why would you listen to what they say? I'm the red line in the sand, drawn in time by another's hand. Listen to me! Do what I say! Or else something will come to ruin your day.

What am I?

I gave you a clue!

  2. My first guess would be rules too. Maybe because I'm terrible at following them! :)

  5. I'm thinking rules, but it's hard to keep my mind on that when all I want to do is throttle Umbridge. LOL!

  9. Hello kindred..such a fun riddle..it made me think of "signs" ..signs we interpret as messages...message only we understand that guide us..a red line would be a cautionary sign or boundary or warning maybe !

  10. My first thought was rules, then speed limits crossed my mind too. If I have to choose one, I'll go with rules. :)

  11. Rules and signs or at least rules printed on signs - things like “keep off the grass” or “no ball games”
