Answer to Monday's Riddle: Jolly Old Saint Nick!

Excellent guessing Riddlers! Christmas Eve is here. This week we're floating along with the holiday spirit for a few seasonal classics. Friday, we'll be wrapping up the year with a mysterious book giveaway, so be sure to stop by! See you all around the book block. ; ) ~ F & L

May the magic of the season stay with you throughout the year!

Hectic and busy, I'm finally away! The crisp, magic air hurries my sleigh. The reindeer fly fast and pull me along, while I cheerfully hum a caroling song. I whip by rooftops, then see a spot below. I yank on the reigns and cry out, "Whoa!" My carriage slows and lands with a clatter. Someone peeks out to see what's the matter. I "hip-up!" the sleigh and head up to the roof. Rudolf is nervous, but Dasher's aloof. We set down easy, and I grab my sack. I turn on a nod and swing it over my back. I leap down the chimney. It's a marvelous trip- as long as you have the right tilt and tip. This night is cold, and I'm an old fellow. It seems a nice place, very festive and mellow. So, I stuff my pipe and take a long puff, then I begin to sort through the stuff. Trains and dolls, trinkets and toys I set in place for good girls and boys. Once I'm done, and I've made my drop, I'll tip my nose slightly and fly back up top. Into my sleigh, I'll whip up the reign- while I'm zipping away, you'll hear me exclaim, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"Let the spirit take me swiftly on this magical flight.

Who am I? Answer: Santa!

  5. The Real Boy sounds intense and dense in it's world building. I believe I'll be adding that to my TBR.
