The DMS Wants to Know!

Monday's Riddle was gravely mysterious, and Lizzy's review of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman was brought to you by Nobody. : ) Friday, the Character Book Club gathered once more over at Strands of Thought. It was fun to find out what Breeze Brannigan from Just Breeze had to say to Terra from Beware of the White. Don't forget to stop by the Spooktacular Hop for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate to The Edward Gorey Store, where you can check out all sorts of peculiarities. This Spooktacualr Giveaway Hop ends October 31st. This week has been quite a thrill tip-toeing through the graveyard, and today we want to hear from you!

The DMS wants to know:
Have you ever seen a ghost or other supernatural entity in a cemetery?

  1. Fun question!! I haven't (which is probably a good thing--I'd be really freaked out!), but my characters have :)

  2. No, I haven't. I did go to a haunted park where people had seen ghosts, but unfortunately I saw nothing.

    1. Medeia- It is interesting to visit a place known for being haunted and seeing if it feels different. Thanks for sharing! :) ~L

  3. No, thankfully. Even fairground Haunted Housed prove too frightening for me.

  4. No but I love visiting cemeteries and reading the inscriptions, particularly for the very old headstones.

    1. Cate- I think it is interesting to look at very old headstones too. So much history out there and it always gets me thinking about the people that came before us. :) ~L

  5. No I haven't and would probably get real freaked out if I did. I often visit the cemetery where my family is buried and where I will be buried and talk to them but thankfully...they never talk back. :D

    1. Anna- I guess it would be scary if they did talk back! Cemeteries can be peaceful places for us to feel connected with our family members who are no longer with us. Thanks for sharing! :) ~L

  7. Nope. Not in a cemetery. All the ghosts were elsewhere when I last visited that place.

  8. There was a time when I'd loved to have seen a supernatural occurrence. My friends and I would look for things like ghost, but nary a one. Now I don't guess I want to see one that much. I'd probably freak out.

  10. Not in a cemetery but I’m convinced our last house was haunted. I could never quite ‘see’ whatever it was, but I certainly felt it. Considering I’m terrified of the dark it was not a nice feeling.

  11. I LOVE the big ole creepy tree in the first picture. I've never had a supernatural experience, but I wish I had. I guess that's why I write about them - so I can live vicariously through my characters. :-)
