Answer to Monday's Riddle! Stories for us all...

Yes! Great guesses! My all time favorite topic : ) These pictures are taken from my magical copy of  Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales, which my grandmother gave me. It is one of my most prized possessions. The illustrations are amazing! I also have a cool edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales.  ~ F

Andersen wove his words into the fabric of life. Grimm told strange stories of wonder and strife. For twelve dancing princesses or a girl with a match, all of these dreams are yours to catch. In smoke and magic, they are told and will touch your heart, no matter how young nor old.

What are they? Answer: Fairy tales

The illustrations are so fabulous and colorful! (Inside cover)

The Girl Who Trod on a Loaf
Great, fat sprawling spiders spun webs of a thousand years round and round their feet.

This is the oldest book I own

  5. Wow, these are really awesome illustrations, the one in the inside cover, especially! And like Barbara said, it's even more special as a gift from your grandma. Did she read fairy tales to you in the past?

    1. Thank you, Claudine. I love the illustrations and the stories. My grandmother and I share a love for fairy tales and she always reads some to me whenever we get together. Some of my favorites are the ones she makes up for me. When I am missing her- I can open my special book and "spend some time" with her until our next visit. :) ~F
