  2. The Little Mermaid was my favorite story as a kid, but I also wanted a dolphin like Flipper.

  5. I love starfish - but only when they are in the sea - not when they are all dried out and for sale at the seaside!

  6. I'm with Medeia in that I find seahorses rather sweet. The fact that the male gives birth wonderful.

  7. I.. well, I don't know, to be honest. I love mermaids, but I don't think they are my favorite. This might be weird, but I think my favorite are sharks. They always interest me. So scary and awful yet I love watching them, hih :)

    1. Carina- I can understand sharks being your favorite. They are certainly interesting and whole weeks are devoted to them on tv. :) ~L

  8. Top pick would be sea turtles. Last week, my ten-year-old student told me her favourite sea creature was the dolphin. Ever since I read Karen Hesse's 'The Music of Dolphins,' I've begun to love them, too. (So I'm picking two ... *sorry* ... and thanks for hosting me this past week, rosy-cheeked darlings. :))

    1. Claudine- Sea turtles are lovely and I adore dolphins. The Music of the Dolphins made me really think about dolphins, family, and what we each need to be happy. We LOVED hosting you this week. So happy we could share your book with our readers and let them get to know you a bit better, too. :) ~Jess and Stephanie
