The DMS Wants to Know!

Großmutter mit drei Enkelkindern, signiert Waldmüller - Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller (1793-1835).
Monday's Riddle reminded us how special grandmothers can be, and Lizzy's review of Midnight for Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo took us into an extraordinary school for kids with very special gifts. Friday, Margo enjoyed telling you about the children's picture book My New Granny by Elisabeth Steinkellner. Stop by the post and enter the book giveaway for your chance to win a hardcover edition of this unique story. Today, we want to hear from you!

The DMS wants to know:

  2. Just three? Hmm. How about: wicked humor sense (which doesn't make a ton of sense, but my grandmother loves a good joke--and they often aren't all that "polite" :)

  3. My grandmother was awesome, patient, and never butted in or offered advice unless someone asked for it. So that made her wise, too!

Now that I'm a grandmother, I'm having the time of my life caring for two of them while daughter works. The two-and-a-half-year-old is now able to carry on full length conversations. He cracks me up. His baby sister is nine months old and though trying to take steps, she still loves to cuddle and fall asleep on my shoulder, so I'm milking it for as long as I can!

The other two grandkids, both girls, ages 4 and 9 months, I don't get to see as often, but when I do, I'm amazed at how much they've changed in just a few months. I take my grandparenting very seriously, and do my best to help them discover their goofy, silly sides. With little ones, that's not too hard to do! Fun post!
