Monday's Riddle: Journey's End...

Hello Riddlers! If this puzzle you uncover, you'll be ready to discover ; ) Can you guess the theme this week? ~ F

Something unknown rises ahead. Perhaps a new spot to set your bed. A journey's end proclaims a start, and the adventure rolls on like the wheels on a cart. Here it seems strange, and you search for a clue. Finding your way, you must learn what to do. What is this land that seemed lost, but is found? What seeds will you sew in the depth of its ground? A place always there, but not seen 'til connected; drawn in time, and then hence, elected.

What am I referring to?

I gave you a clue!

Why did this make me think of the new house the Creed family moves into at the start of Pet Sematary? ;-) ("The soil of a man's heart is stonier, Louis . . ." LOL!)

I thought it was any new house, but seeing the picture and going back to read the riddle more carefully ("Wheels of a cart," aye? And "elected"!) is making me guess . . . the birth of the United States of America?

  2. All I can think of is the presidential elections but that may be because I was just watching the news!

  3. I keep thinking Jamestown because of the drawing.

  4. Jamestown could be it. The start of America or maybe something simple like moving to a new place.

  9. This is a fabulous riddle. It is so enigmatic - I feel like I should know the answer, but I'm not sure at all. Exploration (voyages of discovery) and colonisation seem to be a central idea - and as Barbara has already said the word 'elected' really stands out today so something to do with America and the birth or democracy?
