Stolen Children: A Great Read

Stolen Children by Peg Kehret
In this fast paced thriller you are taken on and adventure with Amy, Kendra, and their kidnappers. Amy is babysitting Kendra when they are taken from a home. The kidnapping goes wrong, and anything can happen. Read the book to find out how Amy uses her problem solving skills to try to get out of the situation unharmed. Can she do it? I recommend this book to kids in grades 4-8 (or people who enjoy books for that age group). I read this book in one day because it was so fun to read. I love that Amy is clever and comes up with some interesting ideas. I liked trying to figure out what I would do in her situation, too.

Has anyone else read this book? If so, did you like it? Or, have you read any other books by Peg Kehret?

Click the title of the blog (Stolen Children: A Great Read) to read a blog about this book written by Peg Kehret- it tells where she got her ideas and how long it took her to write it.

  1. Great review. Thanks! I read Earthquake Terror by Peg Kehret and really enjoyed it. A boy and his sister have to try and protect themselves when an earthquake hits. Also- I think she wrote Escaping the Giant Wave- another good book about kids needing to survive a tsunami.

    Happy reading-

  3. Flex-
Thanks for reminding me of those two books. I actually read them and liked them both. :)

    S.E.-
That is cool that you have read all of her books. Do you have a favorite? I am looking to read another one of her books soon.

    Thanks-

  4. i've liked most of them!
Another good read is THREE BLACK SWANS by Caroline B. Cooney. Missy hears an expert talk on the radio about newborn babies. It makes her think of her family. She has a Cousin Claire who looks exactly like her. What if there not just cousins even more than that...
    It's a wonderful book! ~SE

  7. I have read a lot of Peg Kehret's book- she writes really exciting books. I like that kids always have to get out of tricky situations. I have learned a lot about what to do in certain problems. I read Saving Lilly- I think that is by her. It is an awesome book about why circuses are sooooooooo bad. You should read it!
